@cooliegee in fact he was a burn victim, during the filming of a pepsi commercial his hair caught fire and he suffered second degree burns to his scalp, that´s why he had to wear wigs

@sharonmcgrath9 he did not want to be white. i know he wanted to look different from his father, but he can look different from his dad and still be black. true he did get a little screwed up towards the end, but he never wanted to be white, in fact he hates the fact that he can't tan

Quincy Jones doesn't seem to believe that MJ had vitiligo. However, the autopsy confimed that he did have vitiligo.

@sharonmcgrath9 ive read moonwalk. michael was not trying to be white. his autopsy confirmed he had vitiligo. Quincy doesnt know Michael, Quincy was a co-worker for a lack of better terms.

@cooliegee What you're saying isn't fair at all and I think you know why. Rock stars wear make up, wigs, jewelry, the whole nine. It's a part of the show, the lifestyle. Michael was a megastar, the celebrity of all celebrities. So surely he's entitled to wear a hair piece. Everyone in Hollywood does it, so Michael shouldn't be ridiculed for it either, that was my point. It's freakin' hair!

@CrimsonOkami Men wearing wigs? Maybe for burn victims or other medical purposes but to wear it just for show, I got to wonder what's going on inside?

Read moonwalk and you wont make excuses-you will realise that he wanted to look so different from his father-white : ( I am a huge fan (since I could walk) and have been to see him in concert twice on two different tours-he was amazing : ) I will love and respect him until the day I die but he was very mixed up towards the end : ( sentimentality doesn't work : ) i have loads of his albums on vinyl-the best : )

i see nobody claims joan rivers is the victim of a careless photographer! as for "a few nose jobs". the human nose can withstand much fewer jobs than jackson had, as should be obvious.
@drandolph1973 His surgeries were also extremely exaggerated by the media. If you actually compare how he looked in the late 80's up to 2009, you'll see no real structural differences. Changes in his appearance can be explained by aging, weight fluctuation, hair styles and terrible camera angles/photos in the press. And what's wrong with wigs? When Beyonce wears them it's wonderful, but when Michael Jackson does it's suddenly a sin.

@drandolph1973 MJ's vitiligo was confirmed by the autopsy, so you can't suggest that he didn't have it. THAT is the truth, what you're saying is OPINION. If you just look at Google images, you'll find people with large expanses of their body totally white. MJ wore make-up all the time to achieve a smooth look, but from photos of his chest and wrist, you can see that the pigment was indeed blotchy.
