Possibly. Are they Iranian? No they are not. And it's not Mongolian. It's Mongol. Mongolian is anything that has to do with the country of Mongolia. Mongol is an ethnic group. Mongols and Turks are completely different. Saying things like "Turkic Mongolians" is like saying "Japanese Greeks".
