I am a farmer from Northern Ireland and thus aware of agflation throughout the world and it's potential effects/ It's hard to contimplate stopping such problems. Thanks for informing more though. Good video.

A very informative video, thanks Andy. Interesting to also hear about what's been happening on the 'Pasta' front in Italy. On the 13th September 2006 a one-day strike was held in the country against buying Pasta because of their price rise from the depleted wheat stocks worldwide. Its also worth mentioning a large proportion of their 'durum wheat' is distributed and sold worldwide. Biggest customer being the US! Share and share alike Mr America?

Thanks for your comment. I heard recently that the CO2 emissions from the production & use of biofuels are actually higher than using petrol. Which is a bit ironic isn't it?

I was only reading the other day about the, so called, 2nd generation of biofuels. Apparently these will not harm the environment, or use up valuable farm land. So there may be some hope, we'll have to wait & see :)

Great Video. It is sad to think that people could one day starve just so that Motorvehicles can run. The crazy thing is though, what if corn becomes new Oil and a major source of power on the world Playing Board? With Flooding in the uk getting worse due to global warming every year, how long can the uk survive economicly?
