Do you remember what theme you are using in this video? I really want to build a desktop like you did. It's beautifully elegant. The same is true with the wallpaper. What I really like is all the rounded rectangles.

@bloozism Concerning bmpanel, I used the Arch theme, you can find it on the official bmpanel page, concerning the Openbox configuration take a look at the Openbox wiki page on the Arch Linux wiki and also on this blog: (google for "urukrama openbox"). those sources are so complete and well written that it's hard to do better!

@71GA You're never too late! Practice on other user-friendly distro, and read carefully the Beginner's Guide, I guarantee you'll install it without problems!

How much RAM is that config using?
hheintze1 1 month ago
@hheintze1 Now it's something like 90 megabyte at the startup, with Terminal running and some daemon... It's a lot, but this configuration uses a default generic kernel, it keeps several services running, Terminal (which isn't that lightweight) and so on... On my EEE pc 901, with a custom compiled kernel, compiled packages with optimized compilation flags, only the essential daemons and no composite I reached something like 32 megabyte at the startup, with the possibility of further improvements
