The music is entirely produced by me, and it is all played and sampled by ear with the exception of the acoustic guitar part. I use looping extensively. Tracks: Main Vocals, Badabum Vocal, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Piano Loop, Drum Set with Sampling, Right Hand Piano Solo (end), Guitar Solo (end). I use the "honky tonk piano" setting on my digital for the sound. I did the guitar first, looped it, did the vocals with video, and then filled in the rest.

This song is personal to me on a spiritual level. I wrote the words on 9/22/08 about the fall leaves in Mueller State Park in Colorado (US). The picture shown is of the scene I wrote about, although the picture is not taken by me. A year later, on the same weekend, I returned to gaze at the fall foliage. I listened to this song on repeat for about a half hour looking at the scenery. This song for me is about searching for the best inside you. It refers to a fantasy of a band coming together and playing in the woods. The trees, listening to the music, begin to clap their hands and join in the revelry. For lines such as "I'm joining all my thoughts to you," I envision an objective idea of perfection for meditation. I am an atheist, and I don't believe in an objective morality or path for life. But I do believe that I can imagine an ideal course of action and path for myself that conforms to compassion, good, and righteousness. It is for this reason that I consider myself a spiritual person even as an atheist. This song is profound to me, and I now use it on any occasion that I need to meditate on how I should proceed in a difficult situation.

I close my eyes, remember the trees in the park, and let my mind wander while listening to the music. Sooner or later, I find the right path. And it comes easily.

"If I am alive this time next year,
will I have arrived in time to share?
And mine is about as good this far.
And I'm still applied to what you are.
And I am joining all my thoughts to you.
And I'm preparing every part for you.

And I heard from the trees a great parade.
And I heard from the hills a band was made.
And will I be invited to the sound?
And will I be a part of what you've made?
And I am throwing all my thoughts away.
And I'm destroying every bet I've made.
And I am joining all my thoughts to you.
And I'm preparing every part for you"

  • Nicely done. Would you mind sharing the notes of the piano accompaniment?

  • Fantastic cover, you have, in my opinion, a flawless voice. Continue being great !

  • Superb cover, very sensitive to the spirit of the song.

  • I saw another cover here on YouTube, but with a guitar. Guy looks like you, the voice sounds like yours and the little vocal changes he made, you're doing here. It was another channel, tho.

Based on that, it's probably u.

    Congratulations, anyway.

  • Fantastic. The song carries a solemn tone, yet it's bright and rejuvenating.
