The problem is the transition to a resource-based economy. How are we to reach this global utopia? We already share ideas and think rationally. We have solutions to most critical issues ( global warming, hunger ) in the world already "solved" but the biggest issue is implementation. Humans have far surpassed carrying capacity, which makes solving issues even more difficult. While the idea is appealing, it is unfortunately unfeasible.
