It doesn't matter that his left hand is on the bottom. You can get Pipes made for "left handed players"
i've seen many people play with their left hand on the bottom half of the pipes, and the bag under their right hand. Keep going!

as ciaffez said up above, there are many people play the pipes "left handed" and you can get pipes made in order that when being played in the left hand the Bass drone is still in at the shoulder. Go to the Worlds or the Tattoo you will see a larger variety of pipers other than the supposed small group you have been exposed to!! The boy is a very good player, which you agree with, irrespective of him being a lefty.

Left handed or not, it's backwards. Have you ever seen anyone play bagpipes by squeezing the bag with their right arm? Not likely. He's good, but it's backwards...
