Obama is set to meet with Israels Netanyahu and he will soon give a "major address" to the Muslim World from Egypt. This news come on the heels of Obama's recent statement to Israel ordering them not to attack Iran without giving us warning.

@LarisBananis They weren't running from Christianity; they were keeping politics/gov't out of the business of selecting one denomination over the other. They didn't want a State institution like the Church of England. But MOST CERTAINLY they believed that the God of the Bible was THE God, whether they were deists or more classical Christians. That's probably why the Jews also found tolerance here and have thrived. Interesting use of alliteration in your post.

@LarisBananis You are just another casualty of the dumbing down of America. The whole reason public schools were started was so that people would be able to read... beginning with the Bible. Take a look at the first books used for education. Who founded the most prestigious universities? Even our laws were footnoted with Bible verses. You got it backwards-they didn't want politics to dictate a state religion. That's what they meant by religious freedom. Religion is the conscience of the State.

Hahaha the comment in 1:03 "Our founder would be shocked" Doesn't it say in the constitution that you have the freedom of worshipping whatever you believe in? Right next to the freedom of speech.
