Your Love

I didn't really have any plan in mind for this when I first started it. All I knew was that I was addicted to the song and had to do something with it before it drove me crazy. So I did. =P So a lot of this is just me experimenting and exploring my special FX a little more. I've still got a lot to learn, but I'm getting better little by little, I think.

Having said all that, overall I'm pretty happy with this, and I think the message shines through alright. I love looking at Ed's journey throughout the manga and seeing how much he's grown and connected with the people around him. His world starts so small in the beginning - just him and Al, two brothers clinging to each other like they're all they've got in the universe. And then Winry comes in as their guiding light, supporting them whenever they fall and giving them a reason to hold on to hope, to come home in one piece. And little by little, with every friend that crosses his path, Ed begins to see just how many countless people care about him and want him to triumph and find happiness again.

And I think the chorus of this song is what he ultimately realizes at the end of the story:

All I ever needed is your love.

(Yeah, I'm done getting all deep and sentimental now. Sorry. FMA just does that to me.) xD

And when it says "You know the effort I have given. You know exactly what it cost." Right there was the most perfect lyrics for Edward. It just like this song was written for him. Now onto the editing:

I was amazed. It was a perfect mixture of lyrics, scenes, characters and etc. The editing is so simple but it makes everything so beautiful. You didn't mask the true beauty of the video with effects.

Please make more videos, this is just two great for words.

@ArthuroftheKirkland (Are you kidding? I ADORE getting long comments!) Isn't this song amazing? It does fit Ed really well...which is kinda funny, actually. Matching a Christian song to an Atheist character. But that's the great thing about FMA...there are themes in it that resonate and connect with EVERYONE, no matter what they believe. <3 I'm not a pro by any means, but I'm so glad you liked the editing! Thank you!! To me, the message always comes first; the FX are just there to enhance it. =)

This is just breath-taking, I am lost for words. You are the most amazing editor ever. It seems as if you know and understand the characters. As if you crawled into their heads and was able to know ever emotion and thought behind them. You show the emotion between all of the characters that Ed has encountered on his journey and the strong relationship between him, his brother and Winry. From 2:24-2:34, I think my heart skipped a beat. It was perfect in every way.

Knowing and understanding the characters...to me, that is the greatest compliment and sweetest victory in the world. Thank you so much. FMA and its characters are very dear and very real to me. I often feel like I DO know them, as well as I know any of my real-life friends. So whenever I make a video or write a fanfic about them, it always comes from the heart. I'm really glad it shows.

Oh my god. I am a very honest person, and I am not exaggerating when I say I cried. 'Cause I did. It was so beautiful and the lyrics was totally fitting, and I teared up when you came to "your love is enough to light up the darkness" and they spilled over from 2:13 and especially from 2:24 when you included all the other people Ed encountered on their journey.

I can tell you put a lot of thought into this. Although it synchs with the music well, it's not ALL about that. A lot of AMVs these days are either all about the beat, or have nothing to do with the music. You found a perfect medium and did FMA mega justice. Love it!

My favorite part is at 2:12 , because you just chose the perfect people, and throughout the whole video, you just took the perfect scenes for each lyric! :DD If i could fave this a million times I would ^_^
