This brief video tutorial highlights what you need to know to stream live video across your home network.
In this demo, a MacBook (with built-in iSight camera) is used to stream live video to a PC running Windows Vista.
All of the require software is available for free from Apple (or other sources if you want to view the stream using something other than Quicktime).

f you broadcast to an IP address that is using a streaming server (such as QuickTime Streaming Server, Darwin or others) the receiving machine will reflect the signal allowing other computers on the network to receive it.

If you broadcast to an IP address using QuickTime Streaming Server that machine will reflect the broadcast signal allowing all machines on the network to access the signal.

You can't stream to your entire network by streaming to one IP. Would you want to stream to your router's address in order to be able to watch on all computers on the network? Thanks.
