Update--

Ben Kenney came to sunny San Diego and did a show at The House of Blues in downtown. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, involving age, a friend and I were not allowed to go into the room where he was playing, but we got to watch and listen from the outside bar. After the show Ben was cool enough to hang out with us and just chat.
A very chill cat, that Ben Kenney and I cant thank him enough for turning a nightmare into a dream come true.

Hey! I went to his show in San Diego! And I think I saw you and your friend waiting in line. Looked like you guys had problems, then I saw you guys outside the lounge area. So cool that you got to meet him.

@penguinsgomoo Yeah, the HoB staff was really cool to ask him to come by for us. The drummer from Heavy Young Heathens also stopped by during beens show all of the guys that played that night were just insanely awesome, down to earth people. We got really lucky to connect with them.

Oh man, lucky lucky lucky. That was my first time hearing Heavy Young Heathens. Awesome band; they rock loud. And they were very entertaining, hilarious people. It was a great night.

dude...Ben like...boggles my mind with his crazy progressions. I'm a bassist, and he throws ME off-course & makes me feel stupid [in a refreshing way] with how he progresses songs. I wouldn't wanna imagine the guitar chords he uses!!
