October 2011 - Philip Russel (Plan My Gap Year)

Winner of a Shell LiveWIRE Grand Ideas Award for October 2011, Plan My Gap Year (PMGY) provides affordable, need-driven volunteer programmes from two weeks to six months across six countries in Asia. One of the programmes offered involves working with children, teaching English and educating Buddhist monks.

These programmes have been designed to provide a structured volunteering experience and include an airport pick-up, meals, accommodation, local coordination from the business' in-country team, 24/7 support from the UK office, financial protection for the customers money and a comprehensive pre-departure handbook.
