The "Alphabet Action" song showing how the handmotions, music and visuals work to support multisensory learning in the Singable Songs for Letters & Sounds DVD
Every effort to eliminate the "schwa" (the "uh" sound) from the letter sounds was made, but when one is singing, it is almost impossible to remove that "uh" that tends to pop up when one is attempting to sing the sounds of the letters. The reason why we chose the word, "clap" instead of a word such as "cat" or "cap" is because it is supposed to be an action song, and clapping is a fun and easy thing for children to do. I think children learn best when practicing is fun.
