I used to listen to my dad's extensive jazz collection and he had the best. I loved Nancy Wilson, John Coltrane, Wes Montgomery and Jimmy Smith I was only 9 at the time.

In the early 60's Nancy Wilson had no rival and was the best singing jazz and blues in her own style and then changed her style and became a screamer which did not fit her style and never fully recovered although I think she was one of the best.
