  • Do they do this EVERY full moon?

  • @hyadain3 No, they don't do it every full moon. This festival happens just once a year, some time in November.

  • That looks awesome... And very dangerous...

  • It's the most memorable experience I've had here in Thailand so far. And it is a little dangerous, but there weren't any casualties that night (that i know of).

This year's festival is on Saturday! yay!

  • what is the exact date when this happends?

  • this year its on the 24th of november - changes every year, but always on the full moon.

  • you know what would be fun take a airsoft gun and see how many you can shoot down

  • watch?v=RFcdkPhJMPw One of the most beautiful nights. 1st day of summer in Poznan (Poland)

  • I must go!!!

  • @minsymp dude if you do it right there is no danger because the fire extinguishes in mid air

  • How do they make these? :3

  • This festival will be set on every full moon day in November

Position is near Mae Jo University, 20 km. north from Chiangmai downtown.

Don't worry, civil aviation authority would clear the sky especially for this. All flight to/from CNX will be postponed.

And surpassingly, there's almost no fire accident from these lantern reported. Coz if you do it right, the fire will put out in the sky, no harm to land structure.

  • Incredible

  • that's fantastic

  • As silly as it sounds, I didn´t even know that this things were real until I saw Tangled of Disney.....yeah, I´m silly
