Police evicted protesters at an Occupy Bellingham encampment at Maritime Heritage Park on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 28, 2011. The city issued an eviction notice Tuesday for the campers to get out or be arrested.
@HEYMARLENE Couldnt agree more. Real physical action is the only way anything could change, especially now in this country where the very few own all media and thus influence public discourse and group think.
Who cares? It's an awesome way to use public space. I'd much rather see folks assembling with the goal of creating an autonomous society than bending over to scoop up canine excrement. I'm not sure, but perhaps frisbee-throwing should be placed at a lower priority when the fabric of the country is falling apart at the seams...
