Took the words right out of my mouth. This certainly does better than hurling a dumpster at the police like I saw in another video.

I agree. They also set a good example of how to exercise the right to assembly. Assemble, speak your peace and disperse peacefully when asked to do so, or you've finished what you have to say.
You also draw more interest to your cause and far less criticism to your actions. In other words, people listen and are more likely to sympathize with you than disagree with you.

I saw a lot of good and bad behavior from both the protesters and police during the G20. This particular demonstration was amazing. When they finished singing, the police (and there were about three times as many as you can see in the video, many in full armor) all looked as if they wanted to applaud. It was mid-day, things had not gotten crazy yet and police, protestors and civilians all seemed to be waiting for disaster. The Tibetans seemed to ease the tension for everyone who was near.
