@bloobear1 This version has been released officially a few times. It's available on the 2010 album Marc Bolan - "Two Penny Prince" from Easy Action Records. This album is also on iTunes where you can download the song individually. Hope this helps. Andy

@andytrex Great track. Saw Marc in concert when I was a kid of only 14. This is a good acoustic version of Truck On but can it be bought?

This version was recorded in 1971, two years before the single release. I agree that the chorus in 1973 jars with the rest of the song and that this is the best version. Not everyone will agree but hey, that's the great thing about great music, we'll all have our own opinions. Marc is till unique and sadly missed.

Truck on could have been a great single but the chorus on the single seemed to have been tagged on and it jars. when you listen to this the song flows better.
