How to fix movie maker

Has movie maker ever frozen on you, I know it has done to me!
Note that you must first go to control panel, somehow my voice was cut off.

well first mine says when i open it, " the collections file is not valid or is corrupted. a new collections file has been created." then when i try and open a video it says "C:\Documents and Settings\my name\My Documents\My Videos\video name.avi could not be imported. Unspecified error" or any media file. i can't find any answers for this on sites like yahoo answers. and my new videopad video editer keeps crashing! someone help

my problem is welll i'll just be minding my own buissiness then its freezes and sticks and i cant click anything and it wont even let me open it again.. its happening right now .:'((

My problem is: sound and image do not match after I transfer movie from camcorder to my computer through Windows Movie Maker. When I watch it on camcorder the sound and image match. How to fix it? Did anyone have the same problem? Thanks for answer.

Thank you so much!! It worked. Not sure why. My video worked fine on the computer right to the end but would not save only freeze. I took your advice and it worked fine. Cheers!
