  • If I was a visitor looking at this video I would want to know what and where and when these events are on. Would be a good idea to have a Title before each shown event and an approx date when it is on eg: EX Early Aug ; Folkfest Late Aug etc. This would provide a starting point for tourists to look for.

  • @sfischer2430 Great comment! We'll definitely take your suggestions into consideration when we begin development on our new promotional video.

  • What a beautiful video. Two friends of my family live there and they love it. Does anyone know what's the name of the song?

  • Thanks for your comment! The song is called "It's A Beautiful World" by Brad Johner.

  • Great Video... but why does Brad Johner ALWAYS get the musical representation for Sask? I mean ya he's from here... but so is Wide Mouth Mason and Theresa Sokyrka, The Waltons. I think we are doing our province a diservice by limiting our musical/artistic scope.

  • We couldn't agree more that Saskatoon and Saskatchewan have an amazing range of talented artists! Some of our favourites include: The Deep Dark Woods, The Sheepdogs, Tim Vaughn, Mark DeJong and Prom Night in Black and White. However, for the purposes of this particular video - Brad Johner's (a great artist in his own right) song was the best fit. If you can think of any specific songs by local artists that would fit with a tourism video, please let us know! We would love to hear from you!

  • @Cree01writer Yes, great video, but i think this video don't promote just one artist, I'm Brazilian and I´m looking the city and the video catch my attention. I found a lot of videos throug this one and saw other local artists, like Jason Plumb from The Waltons, Brad Johner, Jack Semple... Very goog video, place, people! Congratulations! I hope to travel there soon. and sorry for my bad english.

  • The video is well done & the music is OK.

Brad Johner is the poster child for the Sask. music industry -- so I suppose his contribution makes commerial sense. The formulic genre of the video is a proven successful medium that appeals to to the wider demographic - should be an reasonably effective promotional tool.

A small community 15 minutes from S'toon has a U-Tube video on a budget & no celeb contributions - check it out by searching for Discoverpikelake
