@butterflycaught900 its because nadal runs faster last time and retrieve and Federer hit very well causing competitve match. Today's Fedal matches are short points and non-competitive. Today Nadal can't retrieve as well and Federer can't run.

@SteveAugeriRocks maybe thats a small factor..but fed is so strong mentally i dont think that was the case here. compare nadals shot depth in the first set to the shots in the second and third set..in the second and third they are more deep and give fed so much more trouble.

its weird, when you look at Fedal matches from around this time, federer is playing much better than he does today, nadal a bit worse, but federer seemed to have more trouble with the general match up back in the day?? just me?? i dunno.
