I was a big Allan Wells fan - but he had his Gold medal from the 100m and Mennea deserved to win his Gold. Great sprinter

Wells was a phenomenal sprinter, then and now. He seemed to run out of gas towards the end in the 200 meter races.
To run down Wells, Leonard and Donals Quarrie. Can't get much better competition than those guys.

@6400az It appears that way due to wells magnificent bend run, but he was 4th on the bend behind quarrie and leornard as well. But fantastic fight back by pietro. Supurb 200.

Wow, what a comeback by Mennea. Coming off the trun , at 1:01, hea appears to be second from last.
