On Thursday night 4/11/10 , we got information that a marine mammal has been granded between Elegushi and Oniru private beaches in Lekki Lagos. We immediately dashed off to the scene and was amased at the giant creature. After shooting I immediately sent messages to the Nigerian Institute of Oceanography and marine Research and The Nigerian Conservation Foundation. No one could tell how long the whale had been dead or what may have killed it.. It was however shocking to see people butchering the aquatic fish that was already smelling from rot. I am going to do follow ups and see how the story turns out...
