  • Does anyone know a good book or website about taking essential oils internally? I've heard of 'the practice of aromatherapy' already, can't seem to find much on google apart from external uses :-(

  • @ushilives3 Why aren't you using it ---it is one of the best sources available to you---you may have to go to the French studies on it since canadian aromatherapy is a tad behind the real uses of these mmaterials and the USA is even further--look at the baltic studies and east indian studies where you can find---but start with Jean Valnet

  • Hi Tony,

Does it matter what kind of thyme? The white is a lot pricier than red.

    Thank you.

  • @neroli528 not really and really haha--double tongued crazy man I know---the idea is to go with what you have thyyme is higher on the orac the oregano so either one will do but they do have specific properties that are different as well so to make one choose one this time one other one te next--go with the flow

  • Can you do the same with tea tree oil? Thanks

  • @starseedawakenings yes---alot of the essential oils can be used internally and some cannot --this is where research is required--generally speaking most of the peppermint family-thyme-rosemary-sage-basil-oregano-parsely ..etc can be done internal as long as they are steam distilled--the citrus can be as well and the spice one such as tumeric-garlic-cinnamon--clove-nutmeg again they should be steam distilled--if they are solvent distilled do not use that way
