@Gibrocks absolutely agree! although I read recently that she wasn't nominated because to do so would have required including her full performance, including the other character. and that production didn't want to give away the 'secret' of the film. sadly, to preserve that, she got robbed of being nominated.
It still remains one of my 10 favorite all-time films. One of Billy Wilder's genius achievements. the details are great. the acting wonderful across the board, but especially marlene.
Wonderful film bringing all together the British genius (A. Christie - ), Jewish/American film director (Billy Wilder), the great actress Marlene Dietrich and the German Loyalty up to the end ;-)
I love right after Leonard gets stabbed and falls on the floor. The nurse kneels and checks his pulse with absolutely no expression. :)1

Marlene Dietrich was robbed! She deserved the best Supporting Actress Oscar for this!

The strange thing about the perjury business is, she didn't actually commit perjury during the trial.

@blason33 It's okay. It definitely has a Hitchcock aura to it, but it also shows that Billy Wilder can be a master of suspense at well.

@blason33 It's not Hitchcock directing. It's Billy Wilder.
