Hi I think I've heard that ppl cut off a bit of the frog's tail so it's easier for the fish to "catch" the frog. I just bought a frog with some really long "tails" should I cut it? Thanks

@newboykool. I think ppl cut one of the legs so it will walk better. I have used a frog with the legs cut completely short but honestly I don't think it catches fish as much. I think the longer legs trigger strikes personally b/c when you stop the frog the legs spread out in the water even though the frog has stopped moving.

james: whats your imput on the dobyns champion 736c for frogging? going to be picking up a new dobyns frog rod but im stuck on which action i should get? 735 or 736?

what type of frogs do u prefer

@LoVeDoCtEr25. The SnagProof Ish frog is a good one. Walks real well. The Spro frogs are good too. I use them both. I also just started using the Bass Pro Shops Kermey Frog; walks real well and also costs a few dollars less than a Spro frog. Good luck.

@charlestwist94 I use a made in asiz storm frog.Its called the storm basho frog lol.Avail in malaysia only.Im based in SG lol.Another good 1 is the river 2 sea frog

@Underagedrinkier when your power fishing your gonna have 15 pounds of salad on you line plus a fish that will get you more salad if you let it run. also, ive caugt a 30 lb catfish on 2 lb because my drag was set so dont fell like you accomplished something by sharing. i caught plenty of 15 lb lmb on ultra light

I love these for snakeheads in asia.2 differences:Work em more eratically and use cable leader.

@newboykool i have done this before and yes it actullay works i remove one leg of the frog and it kicks ass all the time black frog man but of course other would disagree but the whole thing about fishing is to make your own style and have fun doing it

I use 6 pound eagle claw line and I caught a 11 pound bass no problem its all about the drag
