This is part of what will most likely be a series, as I answer various questions about unschooling that people have asked. Let me know what you think, share your experiences, whatever! I always appreciate comments.

Also, sorry about how much I'm moving in this video. I'm sitting on a very wobbly old piano stool. :-P

  • I bet buddhist monks procrastinate less than anybody.

  • I believe that procrastinators are definitely nurtured to be just that. My parents in an odd elegant manner always got things finished the last minute. Course now, they get ticked off when I don't get things done on time. Go figure. They do it, then I do, and who gets the blame? It is nurtured, conditioned, and all that good stuff. This is coming from a partial - unschooler(been to a university) So, is it really avoidable in life...no, I don't believe so. But that's just my opinion.

  • @KyleKyleton oh it's totally not true! harvard and mit don't even require a diploma, tell your mom that. you can print one off and have your parents sign it, you can get your ged, you can forego one and take some community college courses and then transfer to college. diplomas aren't as important as like a good portfolio and transcript--both of which you can make for yourself. some good books are College Without High School, What About College by cafi cohen. but yeah it's possible!

  • Did you know that I think you are cute? :O

I had put off telling you that for a long time.

Anyway. My mother absolutely refused to allow me to try unschooling because I wouldn't get a diploma and hence couldn't get into a good college and hence couldn't get a good job. Certainly that can't be true?

  • Thanks :-)

  • I normally procrastinate when my parents tell me to do something in an act of resilience or when I am bored.
