How to fix a bumper

My family and another family that were friends with. Their dad needed to straghten out the bumper of his Chevy that a tree fell onto, so my dad came up with the bright idea to run a chain from a tree to the bumper. After this, the idea was to drive off without ripping th ebumper completly off.
