In this simulation, the flow field of two parallel plane jets with a small nozzle separation ratio of s/w=4.25(where, s= spacing between nozzles, w=nozzle width) determined by laser Doppler anemometry (LDA), is used as experimental data to validate numerical prediction of this flow field. These two nozzles of width (w) 6 mm are set on a common wall and operated at the velocity of 26 m/s (Reynolds number 11,000). The essential feature of this flow is the entrainment of surrounding fluid by turbulent jet, creates subatmospheric pressure region (negative pressure zone) between jets near the nozzles and jets attract each other. The existence of a recirculation flow region, a merging region, and a combining region in two parallel plane jets has been predicted qualitatively by numerical analysis.
