@cnh2132 That's what I thought as well. Becuase the same is true of Voltron and other anime cartoons that were watered down upon being brought over to the US. In both of the series which were Americanized into the two seperate Voltron series, (Golion and Dairugger XV) there was plenty of gruesome violence along with numerous character deaths that were edited out. And most American fans didn't know about this until years later.
@MDthornton83 Saw both versions recently:there is a crucial difference between them. As you suspected, the US version is heavily edited: they made all the "bad guys" be "vaporized" and returned on their home planet, while in the JP version they died. Also, in the US version they've changed the team leader:in the JP version it was Shinji/Fireball,in the US version it's Richard/Saber Rider.Also,Perios/Jesse Blue did not had a crush on Marianne/April. He didn't cared for her at all.
I love this intro theme song. I believe it was sung by MIO, who also did a few songs for the soundtracks for Area 88, and L-Gaim.
I remember this series as Saber Rider as it was called in America. Though, I'm pretty sure the Americanized version of this show was heavily edited. Because the Japanese versions are usually darker than the Americanized versions of these anime shows.
