  • @globalman First the German word is not "Negger" but "Neger", Second, using it is seen as political incorrectness, it sounds pretty offensive. So you probably use "dunkelhäutig" or "Schwarzer".

  • Nice video Lee. Worth the wait. :-) xx

  • Words have power and people need to understand that words need to be used in the right contect

  • I love the way you responded to his remark. That's absolutely perfect.

    And I love that song!

  • Fuck Labels!! Treat each person on their own merits.

  • What offended me most of your friends sentence was not so much "queer" but "you're all right for a queer" which sounds very condescending and arrogant. Like all homosexuals are dirt but you are acceptable. The problem is, we all take things in a different way based on our culture, background, personal experiences, generation? and sensitivity. 40 years ago in college I had many black friends.....I never used the N word but they not only among themselves....they would lovingly use it for me.

  • Having said all that, the N word... its origins are in language..The word originated as a term used in a neutral context to refer to black people, as a variation of the Spanish/Portuguese noun negro, a descendant of the Latin adjective niger, meaning the color "black". In German the word for black is schwarz but black peope are referred to as Negger. Formerly they were also referred to as coloured but in England all people of colour were coloured including those from India. USA not.

  • Respect for your topic & how open you are about yourself. I personally prefer queer to fag, faggot etc. I don't like the word Gay because, 1. I did not choose it for me. In its old & original definition it does not describe my life as a homosexual. We were labeled Gay and somehow it ended up the least of all evils. Lesbians don't like to call themselves homosexual or gay. Because of society the life is not very "GAY".

  • indeedie! I wouldn't use Queer as I just don't like the word! I do call myself a poof though!
