I don't understand why Dana hasn't made an international breakthrough yet... She has an amazing voice.... Never thought anyone could ever come close to Janis.

@Woutah2dmaX Dana is perhaps more popular internationally than in her home country. This is primarily because of the progressive audiences in Europe. She needs all of her fans to evangelize her so it becomes inevitable for her to breakthrough. Dana's records are great but taking your friends to see her live is believing.

@allmack I've seen her perform in the Netherlands last year, but unfortunately she isn't coming back here in the next 6 months... if she will, I'll definitely go again. And meanwhile, I'm spreading the word... ;)

Yes! Maryport is in Cumbria. Lovely place. Dana is working with a new UK agent and hopefully she'll be making her presence known in the UK next year. She only has three albums and they're all pretty special. Her first album "Lonely For a Lifetime" is just about to be re-released. "Live in New York City" is her 2nd and her newest release is "Love To Beg."

I've got tickets for Beth Hart at Dingwall's in London in November - not that there's any rivalry, I guess ;-)

@davidosler you just missed her at The Maryport Blues Festival. She's working on more dates in the UK.
Dana and Beth finally met in person at Notodden and they're forging a friendship. Enjoy the show at Dingwall's!
