Re: kraftwerk popcorn

A response video to prove that Kraftwerk did not record the version of Popcorn which features in valithane's "kraftwerk popcorn" video and other Popcorn videos here on YouTube.

A lot of people believe that this version was by Kraftwerk but it is infact by the M & H Band.

valithane's video has now been renamed but there are still many people who, because of a mis-tagged mp3 on limewire, still believe that Kraftwerk created this version.

Amongst the people who have covered Gershon Kingsley's Popcorn are Jarre, Hot Butter, TIC, Marsheux, myself and, of course, the M & H Band.

Those who have never covered Popcorn, and probably will never cover it because it simply isn't even remotely their style, include Kraftwerk and YMO.

I've often heard this version being misattributed to Jean Michel Jarre. As you mention in a comment, Jarre actually did a version, but it's definitely not this one.

I too love Kraftwerk. They are a brilliant band. They, simply, did not do this version of Popcorn.

It is cool you want to do a list of best versions but, just know, this version is the M&H Band.

Respect to Uruguay. :)

lol very scientific proof by scratching the record, funny, some people also say that this is jarres version, but i heard that and it sounds very primitive, thx for showin it so nobody can say otherwise

Nobody in his right mind would mistake this song to be a KRAFTWERK-piece, no one familiar with the KRAFTWERK - oevre at least. But I like the H&M-Version of "popcorn"
