  • @spfh84 well tell me not to get the fan locking tool out the next time i have to send one packing on a ferry flight back to home base then. Get the tomtom out instead. youre a bit of a prat! Did you have 3500 hours on flight sim or something?

  • @grinderbroweng sorry mate, but I must correct you...the bae 146 has ALF502-R5 engines, which are actually out of Chinook helicopters, and they are flat rated to 6970 lbs thrust at 15 deg, the later RJ's have the same engines same thrust but are rated to a higher temp. I'd love to see a 146 do a 3 engined take off, you'd have to get the tom tom out for directions because you wouldn't be flying thats for sure! I love the thing,I have 3500 hrs in it..but they called it the dog for a reason

  • @spfh84 A ridculously underpowered aircraft wouldnt be able to do a ferry flight with just 3 engines powering it, think you'll find that the BAe146 can. Each engine is rated 14,000 lbs thrust each to be precise. some 737-300's with cfm56-3 engines have as little as 18,000 lbs thrust per engine. Long live our little british beauty

  • You do realise, all four of those engines add upto the power of just one 737 engine, i know, my dad used to work on these for BA citiexpress/connect.

  • Funny when an aircraft is bright, colourful, lively and futuristic on the outside, but on the inside, it's a different story...

  • WOW!! very good video- one of my favourites... ;-))

    ...thanks for sharing!

    ezio

  • nice video and song.

    from Brasil

  • You have clearly never flown or flown in a 146 milesharrison....reduculously UNDERpowered is more like it!!!

  • The engines....We called them Hairdryers! Ha

  • crappy engines? they were rollers, and the whole thing was rediculously overpowered, 4 engines for an aircraft that small, somewhat excessive. but a lovely quiet plane
