The KAGUYA, which is currently undergoing initial functional verification, successfully acquired image data using its onboard high definition TV camera HDTV. • HD referred to the original from a Japanese space vehicle. The point was that it was news. High resolution video of the moonscape was generally unavailable. This video was posted 3 years ago before youtube was allowing HD posts.

  • Although the sky appears black, the landscape is in full daylight. Therefore, the moon is quite bright. Any photographer will tell you that if you must limit the exposure to see the details of the landscape, fainter objects like stars will appear too dark to be seen.

If you wanted to see stars, you would have to overexpose the lunar landscape. The moon would appear like a white blob but you would get stars.

  • Furthermore...on the point of whether or not we landed there before, there are reflective mirrors left on the moon by a number of the Apollo moon missions. These laser reflectors have been used by universities around the world to determine the distance of the moon more precisely. Also, samples of the lunar regolith have been sent to and analyzed by different universities around the world. The lunar soil cannot be recreated exactly on this planet due to its unique chemical signature.

  • The reason you don't see stars is because the camera is set for the brightness of the moon. Most stars are MANY orders of brightness fainter than the surface of the moon and therefore will not appear in a properly balanced photo or video.

  • OMG!! 240p is isn't HD!!!

  • That's absolutely amazing, from 100km distnat, in HD, the moon looks like a big grey thing with holes in it. Whereas from here on earth, it only looks like a big grey thing with holes in it. The wonders of science.

  • is it the moon???? i dont think so, its just like icecream

  • @sebevan the russian fired them there ,, google it

  • Has anyone seen the documentary called "Moon Rising by Jose Escamilla"? Its on Youtube and the creator says that the moons surface is full of different colours and explains the reasoning for this, im no expert on this but can someone please explain to me if what Moon Rising Documentary says is true why does the footage taken by astronauts on the moon look the same as it does in this video and when looking through a telescope? Does the moon really contain different colours on its landscape?

  • I have a video of a glass dome as well as an alien structure. Feel free to take a look. Thanks and Peace

  • The reason we have not made "contact" is because it would be like humans trying to open up a line of dialogue with a turtle. You can talk to him for decades, show him how to do stuff but he will never comprehend what is actually happening. The same goes for us humans and "higher" forms of life, simply our brains are not wired to be able to truly comprehend an advance species. That is why it is so easy to dismiss witnesses as wack jobs. We are dealing with things we can not understand. Much love
