Paul Reed Smith SE line of guitars made affordable by way of import not usa made
These guitars are made in Korea under contract from PRS .
Scaled Down models of the custom line.
Great finish, ok hardwear, nice tone, excellent action.
body mahogany top maple(flamed) , neck mahogany, fret board rosewood.
22 frets light wieght. price range five to six hundred US dollars.
Played through a Crate vfx 212 with settings at 0 for B / M / T no cut or boost.

So I bought this one and it's awesome! I use 10 gauge strings tuned Eb, had to change to Grover  tuners cause it wouldnt stay in tune...do you know what kind of Whammy bar we can use on this???a bit confused about the different models of bars

@fattirevsbud you can't go wrong with grover tuners I have them on another guitar but I haven't had a prob with my prs staying in tune so far. the mod I have has the stop tail piece I don't us whammy bars much so I'm not that familiar with the trem models sorry:(

Hi, do you still have the guitar? Do you still love it? I've just picked up the same model and I love it. I've put Gotoh tuners on with dark marble type tips, I've also put higher powered pickups in it and copper insulated all the cavities. The original pickups were excellent though. I wasn't going to change them but I always have to do something to a new guitar.

also how is the sustain on this guitar? is there any fret buzz?

@cavedweller1996 on this guitar it has nice tone and sustain and I have no fret buzz at all it was set up great from the factory I did nothing to it yet

Just a speculation, and generalization.... But I've found more black people that can make Crates sound good. Us white boys just cant get them to sing... But a lot of black guitar players on youtube are using Crate, and they sound great.... Just laugh at this one with me please, no disrespect.

As a white 57 year old male,and I cannot understand the Black Youth do not follow this sound the Gentlemen performs!The very melodic Jazz sound still has the deep hidden blues foundation in it.To establish this sound a Black Artist of this caliber is what you search far.In his short demo I hear a Jazz,Blues,and even a Latino.Then closing with a crunching "ROCK"!

This was the best PRS custom review I've found. This will definitely be my next guitar. I tried the PRS Mira X and fell in love with it but do not have a grand to spend on it so this sounds like a great alternative.

Hi I'm hesistating between this one, the SE Santana and the SE PAUL Allender (more recent but I'm in now way gonna play metal), I play classic Rock, which one would you recommend?

I have one of these used on a guitar forum. Seeing this video really sold me on it. I have never had a guitar with more responsive volume and tone knobs. I played it with the volume low last night while teaching my daughter to play acoustic and it was virtually indistinguishable from an acoustic. It is too bad they discontinued these.
