Earth is not as 'vast' as people think.
There are ' capabilities' in place that continue to evolve, keep ahead of 'requirements' .
No, I'm not alluding to any so-called conspiracy, that's all total crap.
Just keep this at the back of your heads, (so to speak), Sci-Fi is not as unbelievable as many would think.

I had no idea this was the aliens' backstory (even if only as it was pieced together by Straker). I agree that if they have FTL drive, mind control, and can even stop time, they should be able to beat our primitive technology and/or genetically engineer organs instead of harvesting them from humans. Or, couldn't they transfer their minds into powerful robot bodies, like the Cylons? I wish somebody would do a useful compilation of everything known about the latter race, from BSG I and II. Thx!

Many things doesnt make sense logistically. 1, Why shoot to kill the aliens? Capturing one alive would bring so much knowledge of their enemy. 2. Capturing an undamaged UFO would be an important part of all the series, to undestand their technology. 3, Earth is vast, 3 interceptors would not be enough to protect the earth.4. If they could travel light speed to reach earth, their ships shouldnt be so easily destroyed, 5, SID has to be a series of satellites to be effective, not just one.
