well with whip ant you can not pick-up SW signals very well but if you attach some long wire (few meters long) you can get really nice reception. TH-F7 has build-in ferite ant for frequencies from 100kHz to 10.1MHz, so when you attach "external ant" you need to turn it off in menu (menu 26 - BAR ANT).

does this little radio pick up signals very well with the whip antenna thats comes with it? i was thinking of buying one soon.
