This is a video of my trip to Ford's Theater in Washington, D.C. This is where President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth in April 1865. They take you through an exhibit hall where you see things like the pillow (with bloodstains) that was used to prop Lincoln's head after he was shot; the gun Booth used, and various other relics connected to the tragic event. Then you get to go inside the theater where it happened. A lady comes out in period clothes and talks about the assassination. I did not get to see the Peterson House, where Lincoln was carried to after he was shot. He died there. It's free to go in. Check it out if you are ever in Washington, D.C.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your experience at Ford's Theatre!
