@jgreenberg93 It's because when he slows it down... he's impeding the flow of music from within him. It becomes un-natural for him to slow it down. He's obviously not "thinking" about what or how to play, it just flows through. Learning to play anything is about discovering the "feeling" not learning in a thought process kind of way
