The best way to lower you sprint times from .2 to .5 tenths of a second.

  • Keep the pressure off the toes, don't think of weight but more of pressure. The pressure should be on the ball of the foot. Your weight is balanced over the hand and two feet from a 3 point stance and the hands and feet from a 4 point stance. Play close attention to how I establish the ball of my foot by dorsi-flexing the toes first and then putting pressure on the ball of my foot to raise my heel off the ground.

  • thanx that was useful

  • First of all thanks! I'm stunned. Over here in Austria I tried to find a coach who gives me a pretty good insight on proper stances and sprinting techniques. I play football and as everybody knows speed kills. I have pretty quick feet and a high frequency but I gotta cover more ground. Is there a certain point you know your stride has reached the perfect length? Is it better to place the foot you push off with closer to the starting line to get a more powerful start or not? thanks 4 everything!!
