Charlotte Church Luciano Pavarotti The Duet that never was - O Holy Night

I spliced together a duet because I always wanted to hear them do this song together. Sadly it is only a sample, but well its too bad that Luciano died before they do a duet. O Holy Night

haha at most of the comments below...

As if the voice of an ANGEL (clearly given her by god) is scared of a fat pig (her words but rightly so) upstaging her.....No. If you google the story, you will see what REALLY happened. Her voice is one in a life time...

Yes, that's right. The greatest singer ever was scared of being upstaged by Charlotte Church.

If he wasn't afraid of being upstaged by Sutherland, Caballe, Freni, Battle or Tikanawa [to name but a few], I think, no, he was not afraid to be upstaged by Charlotte Church.
Nor to my knowledge did any of them find him difficult to work with.
I think it was not long after this he said there was no such thing as a child prodigy in this profession and Church's career has proved him right.
Were she not so photogenic, she would have vanished from the public eye years ago.

Well maybe he went pee backstage and didn't bother to lift the seat then and hence her remarks to the world, to warn the others.

This so called "angel voice" is rather evil. She did call Pavarotti fat pig because she wanted performed in a soprano role when she was really a Mezzo. Just google: Charlotte church called pavarotti Pig" and you can find the article. She will never get close to a toe of Caballe or Sutherland, so why il Maestro Pavarotti would be afraid of her little and insignificant voice?

Well the thing was, why wouldn't he do the duet of O Holy Night? Why did he insist on some other piece you see.
O Holy Night is like a signature song for operatic singers, especially the tenors, and I think it was simply that he didn't want to be upstaged by a girl.
And lots of people knew, that the request had been made that they do O Holy Night, and well lots of people knew as well that he refused to do it. So Charlotte does not feel bad, she isn't the one who chickened out.
