Big Tree Little Bear and Tiny Termites

From walking one of our rescued sun bear cub Mary in the forest and stopped under a big tree, I saw the close relationship of big tree, little sun bear and tiny termites in this forest ecosystem. All of them need one another to survive: sun bear eat termites, termites eat tree, and tree provide den sites and food for sun bear. This cycle has been ongoing for millennium as all of them evolve in this forest ecosystem. Today, several things have happen: human remove large tree in the forest; human killed bears in the forest and their habitat. This change has post enormous challenge for both the large trees and sun bears to survive in the rainforest ecosystem of Se Asia.
