This is such an amazing performance... he's so in touch with the orchestra, it's like he's conducting them... he winks and smiles at the conductor while playing with ease.. and there is so much passion in his face. Beautiful.

0:56 is freaking epic.

@TheTradge Actually, in the European Tradition, you are allowed to clap in between movements, if you feel the movement was absolutely exceptional.

2nd movement is absurdly beautiful!

@YTM021807 I try to say it too, but when it ALWAYS happens in some places, it doesn't mean very much...
-
6:35 he reverses the phrase and puts the accent at the end of the beat :P lol

I will never forget when i saw him play this. I was simply amazed. I was in the 7th to last row but the sound still carried so beautiful and was loud, never was there a time where he wasn't loud enough that i couldnt hear him or that he didn't have such wonderful tone, grace, and... and... I just cant explain it, it was indescribable. I will most definitly go see him again in concert.

your opinion matters because... OH wait, it doesn't.
music is interpreted in the eyes of the soloist. I'm sure Dvorak wouldn't want someone to be forced or coerced to play in one style. Anyway, if you're gonna bag on Yo-Yo Ma, instead of leaving negative comments on this video, why not leave compliments on Rostropovich's video?
Plus, what parts are misinterpreted anyways? His song speaks of the hardships that Dvorak had to endure. I thought it was completely fine.
grrr!! the audience clapped between the 1st and 2nd movements! =/ awesome performance nonetheless!
