The dog just crashes out at the prospect of food. I do similar at the prospect of going jogging.

  • best watch dog ever!

  • Actually it's a real medical condition and is often set off by things that excite dogs, like treats.

  • @kristies yep early research with dogs helped doctors find treatments for people with narcolepsy as well

  • No, it's not faked. It's called cataplexy, and it's a symptom of narcolepsy. Cataplexy is defined as a sudden loss of muscle strength caused by some strong emotion. For narcoleptic dogs, that means chasing a ball or getting a doggy treat. For humans with narcolepsy, it's most often triggered by laughter or excitement or fear. Ever laughed so hard you couldn't stand up? That was cataplexy. Everyone does it. Narcoleptics just do it a lot more often.

  • Last few seconds of the clip all I could hear was this caption. : "Must. eat. treat. befor.....zzzzzzzzzzzzz"
