I haven't actually played this for about 7 years, but looking at it now compared to a lot of other older stuff I have looked at recently, this doesn't look all that bad now - the tracks are very bendy (hiding most of the scenery building) although a little short. The bike noise is awful as is the 'digital' animation and the octagon tyres on the bikes! ..... but it's good for a retro-laugh. Must have looked the dogs bollocks back in 1995 for a lot of people, although when you compare this to Ridge Racer........

  • To sum my point here on this title further, they should've just instead ported the original 1985 version of this game as well as its 1987 sequel that is Super Hang-On.

  • @ClassicTVMan81 YES MATE!!!! I agree they should have ported the original Hang On onto the Saturn - funny they never did that. Thank Heaven for the MAME emulator hehe

  • @nonterraqueous

    I believe they actually did.

  • you suck at this game!

  • @FOZproductionz NO WAI!!!! the controls are a bit choppy with a normal controller, but if you get the hang of it, you will soon love it!

  • this, with Virtua Racing and Daytona USA, is in my Sega Saturn ROMs wishlist!

  • hmmm, alot of classic SEGA games just did not make the jump from Genesis to Saturn very well. Sonic couldn't even make the jump as far as a true new adventure/platformer goes. Saturn is more known for establishing newer SEGA franchises like Daytona, Virtua Cop, Panzer Dragoon and Virtua Fighter.

  • @nonterraqueous Nice!!! Got a MAME Cab or no? Im planing on builing one myself soon.

  • The music was the best thing from this game

  • Lol it was my dream to have a Saturn in 1995!

  • @FOZproductionz

With a little more care in the sound depot, as well as being more true to the arcade version that predates this version by a full 10 years, this could have sold better. As I said here before, they should have instead ported the original title and its 1987 follow-up, like they had with Space Harrier (also 1985), Out Run (1986) and After Burner (1987).

  • @ClassicTVMan81 so is this a shitty racing game ?
