There is a secret menu
has nothing to do with blu drive turn off your ps3 to stand by red light hold your finger on it till it turns on keep your finger on it till it turns off now do it again this time you will hear two fast beep s now take your finger off the menu should pop up select option 3 restore file it will scan the ps3 for messed up files and it should fix it or if that does not work if you have Any demo games downloaded on your ps3 go on it once it's on preset the ps bottom on the

Ok I'm trying to repair a ps3 for a customer and I finally got to get the disc to spin but still cant get it to read the disc. I have changed the deck with the laser and spindle but still cant get it to read the disc. Can you give me any advise?

@Hemp0325 problem could be with any of these, circuit board, ribbon cables, or alignment with the disc holder...If you check all of these then I'm not sure what else.

BTW for anyone who been asking about PS3 systems only being 120V or 240V, I verified that they are mostly always Bi voltage 120-240V, I noticed it during the vid and im not using my converter anymore.
