  • I think its brillant that the Queen got a welcome visit from Ireland. Everyone has always thought the Irish and the British have still hated each other but watching that footage of the people greeting her shows that Northern Ireland and Ireland will start to have a closer relationship and hopefully we can put what happened in the past in the past.

  • Tanzanite800 thank you for another informed and considered opinion. You do your country proud contributing to youtube videos and letting us know your views on the American position on the Anglo-Irish question. Only next time could you let us know in what capacity you represent the United States of America?

  • I always laugh at how much they hate each other. As an American, I can tell you that a majority of U.S. citizens have much more respect for England rather than Ireland. Sorry to say it but Ireland is a puny country with barely any impact on the world. Those people should feel lucky that England even lets you keep you're pathetic excuse for a country. I mean lets get serious, if they wanted they could annex you within a day.

  • WTF she pays respect to the ira who faugh for freedom what about your soldier who died for no reason

  • i love how she didn't go up and visit NI :L

  • @Stupot80s Yes I thought that she was well recieved over there, and all credit to the Irish people for giving her a warm welcome. As an Englishman,I thought that her visit did the power of good, and yes perhaps maybe a bit overdue, but nevertheless I think it was right and correct that she visited, and perhaps has healed some wounds.

  • Pity about the losers from the North coming down to Dublin throwing rocks.

  • I think it would be lovely if Eire reunited with the rest of the UK - seriously, all the Irish nationalists need to stop throwing fits. Yes, the English were cruel - 80 years ago. The English were cruel to the Scots many centuries ago, and no-one throws hissy fits in Scotland. It's in the past and these nationalists need to sit their arses down and reunite with their kinsmen across the Irish sea.

  • Apart from the last bit, this brings tears to the eyes of a man with both British and Irish ancestors and as a man who encountered countless bomb threats in London back in the 90's and one day thought his two friends were dead. And it gives him hope for the future. A future for our islands. For all of us. That's this man's hope. He hopes its yours too
