Prime Minister(2008-Present) of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius presenting his views/strategy on developments of Lithuania through 2030.

Worth reminding that PM did not mention largest social challenges, like the fact that Lithuania is no1 in the World by suicide and very high emigration rates. Or that only 9% of the population have trust in Lithuanian members of Parliament, only 15% have trust in Attorney General, only 13% have trust in Courts, 25% trust in Security Department of Lithuania(based on recent months opinion pools which can be found on Internet). Rubber bullets were used in the last largest uprise against tax increase. Pensioners were stopped protesting at the last minute of sactioned protest. There are lot of hypocrisy when talking about dialogue with NGO and academia. In one of the latest so called "pedophile mafia" case which took 4lifes lithuanians protested worldwide - as can be seen here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDGAoHMeOa8 . It is of course suprising that noone in the audience wished to appeal to those facts(except emigration) - what is the purpose of another 20years vision of those who are pushing people out and letting down. Will there be anyone to fulfil any vision?

Recorded at London School of Economics, Sheikh Zayed Theatre, New Academic Building, 2010-June-22 19:02.

  • What does his lead government do is: A - Creating tax reforms with less than 2 weeks adaptation period for the businesses, thus implementing the unnecessary risks what highly affects foreign investment , B - Decreasing the capability of the small businesses to compete in the market as there are monopolists like Maxima which take over that space, although it is not even strange as Kubilius belongs to right-wing party which traditionally supports rich without givin a damn about the middle class,
