@GroverKent I am also able to appreciate the irony of that situation!

What in the world do you find gay about this sketch? I thought it was quite nice!

Ron Darling was semi-referenced in a Sesame Street book I used to have called "Don't Be Shy". At this point in the book, Snuffy goes to Hooper's and timidly asks David for some baseball cards. Then he drawls "I hope I get a Ron Adorable card." My dad told me that was meant to be a play on Darling's name, which is how I first learned about him.
Was Darling playing for the Mets at the same time as Keith Fernandes and Mookie Wilson?

I love that Telly can't read, but can say the word "statistics", lol.

no with the mets yes with the yanks!

Yeah, he's definitely the MAN!!!!

Man, it's like phone-sex for a baseball addict.

Good thing Telly Monster found Ron Darling's card. Nothing like having a Yalie to read his statistics to a semi-literate monster. Could you have imagined Wally Backman or Lenny Dykstra compiling?
Dude...I so remember this one, especially Telly's "Whoa! You're Ron Darling!"
(Darling is 6'4"! I'd forgotten that one.)
